Master Plan and Placemaking Strategy underway in West Louisville

Over the last several months YARD has been working with Re:Land Group and neighborhood residents on a master development plan and placemaking strategy for the former Rhodia Chemical Plant in West Louisville. The brownfield site is 17 acres and is currently being cleaned up in partnership with the City of Louisville. Recently, YARD hosted the team as part of a design charrette at our new office in Cincinnati’s Over-the-Rhine. The day included immersive engagement and design, as well as an inspirational trip to the Walnut Hills neighborhood. The Master Plan and Placemaking Strategy is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
