The YARD & Company team worked with the Cornerstone Community Development Corporation, Invest STL and the City of St. Louis on a resident-led Reinvestment Plan for the West End and Visitation Park neighborhoods. The project included a robust and active engagement strategy that utilized a paid project resident/ambassador team. The plan included an analysis around mobility, safety, retail, housing, urban design, development and racial equity. The recommendations were equally focused on short-term and small-scale implementation measures and long-term and large-scale projects. A framework for decision-making related to development and growth was created, as well as an operations and implementation plan for the community-based partners.
